10 Reasons Online Shopping is Mostly better Than Stores

Being able to shop online is the best thing that ever happened to the Internet. Forget about Facebook or Google for a moment and picture the wonderful benefits you get shopping in your favorite online store. You know they are many, right? But let’s look at the ten most amazing benefits online shopping gives us.

10 Reasons Online Shopping better than InStore Shopping

We go shopping occasionally mainly because there’s nothing else to do and we live 5 mins to an outlet mall. So, mostly our in-store shopping are mainly window shopping, except for groceries and home depot stuff. We are recent homeowners so we like to spend at least a few hours every week at Home Depot. Because that’s what you got to do when you buy home!

No wonder that online sales gradually overtaking in-store sales and within few years online shopping will be the main way of shopping. Do you know Google, Amazon are spending millions of research dollars in creating drones that can deliver merchandise at your doorstep?

Everyone’s shopping online these days, what with you? Although I don’t find fault with people who insist on buying in-store. A look and feel of the actual merchandise may change your original buying decision. Also, for some posting back the items as a return is tedious.

I don’t think I’d want a drone to deliver my milk and bread as I’d like to buy them in person. But in a broad sense, online shopping is the way to go for most guys, I truly believe so.

Reasons online shopping is better than in-store shopping

  • Saves Your Time and Gas fuel

With the Internet, you are not obliged to drive 10- 20 miles every day to the nearest mall to shop. In addition, there is no hassle trying to look for a parking space that can take up to twenty minutes to find. It is very simple.

With just the Internet as the basic requirement, you can order anything you want at the comfort of your sofa. Here is another simple calculation. If you spend $5 on gas every day, with online shopping, you can actually save $150 a month, which translates to $1800 a year. Just imagine what that money can do for you.

  • You don’t need to dress up

You can be in your nightgown, pajamas, suits or nothing at all. Even when you can’t sleep you can shop. You can shop when you feel distressed, shopping therapy sometimes helps. Or better, you fill up shopping cart with everything that looks pretty. leave the checkout for another day.

  • Always Find The Best Deals (Ctrl -F doesn’t work in-Store)Online Shopping No Dressing up

A simple fact ! There are more than 10,000 online stores in the UK and in the US alone. All the online stores need customers. They are, therefore, always in a tussle to fight for customers.

By offering these great deals, they attract customers galore while, we, the buyers are left smiling all day. in addition, most online stores such as Amazon and Ebay incur less operational costs such as salaries, taxes and storage costs. They, therefore, transfer these benefits to online shoppers worldwide.

Ctrl -F is the short-key for search on web pages. When you want to buy an item you can search many sites for the cheapest price, including a Google search. In-store you’re seriously limited.

  • Online Stores Never Sleep

Online stores do not close unless in rare cases where their websites are under maintenance. Otherwise, shopping online can be the best deal to people who have little time to shop during the day. If you rarely catch sleep, I guess you can make shopping your newest late night hobby.

  • They Offer A Wide Variety

You may have heard that variety is the spice of life. If that statement is true, then online stores have the most delicious spices. They offer the widest variety of items you so wish to buy. Unlike in the stores that are limited by space, online stores can never fill.

If you are looking for a handbag at Amazon, for example, you will get hundreds of bags from all models and prices available in the world. In addition, online stores have all the items you never get in the stores. Simply put, one online store can have what ten shopping malls put together have.

  • It Helps you Get Organized

Everyone knows that keeping receipts orderly is hard. But with online shopping, you are emailed your receipts and hence you can never fear that you will misplace them. You are able to keep track of all your purchases, unlike when shopping in the malls where you can lose your receipts and money. In any case, the fewer papers you have, the better organized you become.

  • There are no Queues

This is actually an advantage that almost everyone reading this article like. There is absolutely no chaos, long queues or any hassles involved. You only need your laptop and in few minutes, you are done. In the stores, however, you have to weave through masses to get what you are looking for.

Besides, it can be risky to your health since there are very many air-borne diseases in the world today. And who would forget the swells in your legs and unfathomable aches especially if you have been shopping all day, moving from one store to another, with loads in your hands?

  • Using Coupons is Easy

When shopping online, you only look for the coupon aggregate you need, and then you simply use it. You are not required to cut them like in the stores. Besides, there are multiple coupon sites and apps that can save your money a lot.

The icing on the cake, you can buy through rebate stores, that pays you cash back, like DollarDig, on top of your credit card reward point.

Online Shopping Fast Delivery

  • Fast Delivery

Can you imagine you can order a Louis Vuitton bag right from Paris and it is delivered to the US within hours? The simple fact that you receive what you have purchased in minutes or hours makes online shopping incredible. It beats sense to drive all the way to a mall to buy a remote control when it can be brought to you within few minutes.

  • No Geographical Limitation

You can buy items from an online store situated in any part of the world and they are delivered to you. Besides, shopping is not affected by weather conditions and buying a gift for somebody can never be easier.

So, for your next shopping trip, where are you going? To the mall or to your computer/mobile screen?

Your last point is not quite true. There are many limitations on where published works (books, music, movies, etc.) can be purchased. Also on many other items. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve wanted to buy something camera related from Amazon, only to see the dreaded “Does not ship to where I live in South Africa”. Yes there are often the same or similar goods available from local online sellers but they often cost more, even factoring in shipping and stories from the US.

There is also the fact that large numbers of our postal workers have a penchant for going on strike, often for months at a time; meaning goods that should arrive in 10 days might take 4 months, if they arrive at all. Using courier delivery is not cost effective as courier fees are often several times what the product you’re buying costs.

So from the point of online shopping, the global village is somewhat a myth.

Sorry to learn about all that. In India also we have some similar problems. But these days every thing is available fortunately locally there. I agree things are different in other parts of the world, at least so far. But they’re definitely going to see changes as development increases pace.
