Traffic update for One Cent at a Time In Terms of traffic April was OCAAT’s biggest month in its existence, surpassing March traffic by more than 20% in terms of page views. In absolute number, traffic increased by over 8000 page views, this growth is mainly due to the guest post I published on GRS blog. The other notable updates related to traffic are 1. Search traffic was also highest ever in April with 10,246 searches ended up at OCAAT. The biggest was Google, followed by Bing and Yahoo. (as per WordPress stat) 2. Alexa rank stayed below 50k for two consecutive months, though I am noticing number of comments going down. readers, please do comment and take part in interesting discussions. 3. Outbound clicks increased by more than 40% in April compared to March. Though it reflects more traffic departure but, I would take it positively. This should encourage quality guest posts at OCAAT from other bloggers and more comments from commenters as chances of getting referral visits from OCAAT has

I am thankful to you for your constant  encouragement and love towards OCAAT. Traffic update for One Cent at a Time In Terms of traffic, we grew by only 500 page views in February, as compared to January. The absolute number didn’t increase much because of two reasons. 1. February had 29 days in it, two days short of January. Two more days could have seen more than a thousand additional page views. Monthly Blog Update, January 2012

February 4, 2012

After a month gap, here another monthly blog update edition. Where I talk about the growth of this blog in the past month. Any thing that starts, grows, it is the rule of nature, it’s how the things are and it’s how it is meant to be. OCAAT took birth in March, 2011 and growing ever since, in terms of number of visitors, in terms of number of page views and in terms of blog ranks. During growth , often the growth stops. Sometimes temporarily, sometimes permanently, again, by the rule of nature, a tree only grows up to a certain limit, a human being grows only up to a limited height. They can’t grow any further. A blog has its limit too. At some point they start to stagnate or decline. It is my job to not let OCAAT stagnate as yet. If you know there are people who are this tall, your natural tendency would be to reach that height yourself and be at par with those tall guys. This thought of competing with tall guys keeps me motivated. I am not at all near their caliber. I am learning and improving my writing skill and knowledge every day. I

Monthly Blog Update : November 2011

Dear readers, its time for another monthly blog update. It’s very motivating to see the visitor graph rising. OCAAT is slowly establishing readership base. One regret I have for not being able to hold on to the media attention I received in the beginning of the month. And, as a result I ended up with lesser than anticipated number. Still, it’s way above the October number. Also in last week on November, visitor numbers were lower due to holidays. These days I see page views approaching 100 when I arrive at work. Hopefully by January I would cross over 100 by the time I reach at work. As always, I am going to paste the Google Analytics graphs in the blog update. Here’s the November Summary. Here’s the month to month progress, I joined Yakezie in June 2011, and the growth since then is phenomenal. The biggest resource I could find from yakezie is motivation, above else. Here is the comparison with October 2011 blog traffic data. Its interesting and encouraging to see that % new visits came down even when number of visitors went up by more than 50%. I am gaining repeat visitors. In everything 50% month over month growth is tremendous. Honestly,

OCAAT Monthly Update: Thank you Google Edition

OCAAT Monthly Update: Thank you Google Edition

Hello and welcome readers. Hope you are having a good weekend. The past week, I probably have written two of my best posts ever. Kathy, Cynthia, Joyce, and Carmen Go Black Friday Shopping and Living Well on Less Than $10,000 a Year: Habits of Skilled Visa Workers. Do visit the two links and leave your comments if you can. These days, my first aim is to grab media attention. To grow my blog organically I would need years to get a decent visitor number. There is one way to achieve this faster, and that is by grabbing constant media attention. I have been successful in the recent past where Consumerist, Business Insider and Huffington post mentioned my work and gave me link backs. I am getting just the curve I was hoping for. Hope it lasts, I need to sustain this momentum and there is no shortcut to writing unique content. I track my stats on Google Analytics, which in its new avatar started providing loads of interesting representation of the data it collects from your visits to my site. Although it doesn’t tell me what dress you are wearing or which adult site you visited a while ago, it does tell me which part
