Automate Your Life, As Much As You Can

Successful people do not do different things, they do things differently; is probably often heard cliche for you. But the sentence has all the wealth of richness in it. Why some people get to taste success, why not all of us? The answer lies in the first sentence. There are a lot of opportunities for the average and normal people to start doing things differently. Time management is an integral part of accumulating wealth (manage time to be rich). Honest confession, even after determining blogging affects work and deciding on to have a fixed time for blogging work, I still get attracted towards my site-stats no lesser than earlier intensity. I still get fixated to yakezie forum and check multiple times a day to find interesting discussions to participate in. If you do that, like me, you also should be as worried as I am. You know, why? Because time is limited, the only scariest thing in this world in Time. If you can manage time effectively by doing things differently, you will have time to create. You will have time to unleash creativity, in you and your family. We are not super human we can’t do everything quickly. There are certain things which we

How to Find a Job Through Social Media

Is it possible to find a job through social media, Linked In, Facebook and Twitter? There is a jargon in management world these days, “bring in a known good person rather than an unknown better person”. This refers to hiring from within a known circle of people, or with recommendation from a known circle of people. The largest professional network, Linked In, was founded on this principles and today its thriving along with Facebook and Twitter. In last one year I have seen quiet a few people getting jobs through social media referrals. I receive requests to refer some one or other within my connections for jobs. Recruiters and HR managers are now actively mining talents through Linked In. Example, one of my close friends was found out through his Linked In profile. The recruiting manager was his 4th level connection. You may not be as lucky as this guy, as he had some specialized training and diploma which was sought after by his employers. It also added spice that my friend and his the-then interviewer had similar tastes of reading. If you imagine typical job of a recruiter, he has to post for the positions, collect resumes, sort through them

How To Feel Good and Increase Productivity

How To Feel Good and Increase Productivity

The purpose of our lives is to be happy. - Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama I blog here at OCAAT not only to make myself and yourself monetarily richer. I also want you and I to feel richness in every aspect of our lives. An important part of this is emotional richness. Emotional richness is a state of mind when you feel happy about being you. It is a state when you love and cherish your existence. When I am happy, I finish a lot of tasks, I complete long pending assignments and I do my things faster. In other words my productivity increases when I am happy and I feel good. In every job you do, every work you do, your mind needs to be happy about it or you don’t get a joy out of your work. It’s very difficult to be always happy, at least I don’t know anyone who does that, I do believe that many a times we just don’t know  the exact reason behind our unhappiness. Sometimes it is just thinking about your sorrow that is enough to realize how silly the cause was. Whenever you are worried, feeling sad or depressed think about

20 Things To Do Before You Lose Your Job

In continuation of my earlier posts on things to do before you quit, this post describes what you should do before you are laid off. A pink slip comes as a surprise to us, no matter how much trouble our employer is in or how bad our performance has nose-dived in recent months. We always think we are the best around. The boss will pick someone else if anyone has to go; not us. With unemployment rising, there is no guarantee that you will get to keep occupying your chair at work. Even if there’s little to no chance of losing your job, you should still be prepared. Prevention is better than a cure Nothing beats an attempt to keep a job. In my position, I hire and fire employees. I’m impressed when I see someone exhibiting the following behavior, even if they are at the bottom of the performance graph compared to all others. I start rethinking things before letting them go. At times I have retained some of those late risers. 1. Become a boss’s man. If you are going, there’s a high chance your boss’s job is shaky as well. In that case, he’ll need help from his

Spending Money on Self Improvement

Spending Money on Self Improvement

To me, self improvement means becoming a more educated, more productive, more valuable and wiser person. This is a follow-up post from yesterday, where I talked about making saving fun – you should also spend a reasonable amount of money on self improvement. Every business allocates money for R&D work. This is an investment toward a better future by bringing in new innovation on product/services, generating more sales and profit. As individual money earners we are no exception, and should spend money on things that can increase or enhance our future potential to earn – not only monetarily. Self improvement brings an overall gain in personality and acceptance from the outside world, including your own family. I agree that there are ways to improve yourself for free. Attending church every Sunday is one of them. The local library is one of the most frequently talked about self improvement spots. You can read books, rent DVDs on self improvement, and even use exercise DVDs to avoid paying for a gym membership. A $300 tread mill at home pays itself off in slightly more than one year, considering the average gym membership costs around $20 a month, give or take. In my
