Everybody dreams of starting a business. I tried starting a business in education classifieds market in India a few years ago. While start-up sounds like an exciting word, the reality is far from it, especially in the initial few years. In the first year, I struggled a lot to earn some money. But, it looked like finding a profitable business model will take a couple of months more.

Business Profit

I was already teaching at a coaching institute. I knew that once the results of the entrance exam were declared, they would get many queries from the students to help them prepare for the interviews. Since I had myself gone through the process, I decided to offer help to those looking for guidance on how to prepare for the interviews. Initially, the institute where I was teaching was hesitant about this idea. But I offered to do a couple of sessions free of cost. They got very positive feedback from the students and decided to offer me more business. I soon grew this business to other centers and cities.

I just graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (9/15/16). It took me exactly 1,837 days (5 years,10 days) to earn that degree.  I spent $24,708.00 on tuition alone, excluding books, fees, and living expenses.  No, I didn’t live with parents and no they didn’t provide money towards my education, or living expenses for that matter.

Yet, I am walking away from school with $0.00 in student loan debt.  I provided for myself, got married, and had a baby (money well spent I might add) during those five years too.

How did I do it?  Here are my 5 tips to earn your degree debt-free; the ultimate guide to pay your way through college.

How to Keep Motivation When Income Goes Down

And then a dream job opportunity comes up. It’s a job in a great company with a lot of opportunity for career progression, but the hours are more suited to you and allow you to pursue your other passions. Maybe you have a blog or a side hustle that you could really do with spending more time on.

The internet has definitely made life a lot easier for employers and employees alike, but it also comes with its own share of problems. Companies rely a lot on these new devices and software to streamline their internal processes and increase their profits, but without the proper education on how to use them, it is incredibly easy for businesses to be exposed and fall for a lot of hacking tactics. According to a report by IBM, the total cost of cyber breaches in 2015 was a whopping $4 million.

Do you want your business to be safe from these kinds of attacks? To get you started, you will have to start learning all of the different ways in which outsiders can gain access to your enterprise’s sensitive information. In this article, we will discuss three of the most common methods that are employed by malicious individuals in order to steal confidential data from corporations around the world.

  1. Not Taking the Time to Set a Password That is Strong Enough

There is a reason why so many websites now ask you to create a stronger password these days. It is supposed to thwart attempts by outsiders to log into your account without your permission. The more characters that you use in your password, the harder it will be to crack because the total number of possible combinations would increase dramatically. How-To Geek recommends that you use a password manager app in order to keep track of every single account that you use, ensuring that you have a unique password for every username you have.

It is frighteningly easy to have monumental, albeit unintentional, financial slips when you are fresh out of college with the real world staring you in the face every day.

Buying a Used Car

In the real world, where my parents cannot, in fact, let me borrow the family car anymore, I come to the crushing realization that I’d have to buy one for my own. It has taken every fiber of my body to miraculously maintain good credit and I was not about to throw it all out the window, so I had to make some well-informed decisions.

Although we are not Christian, traditionally we, Hindus, do celebrate the Christmas. We eat special cakes, turkey, etc. on Christmas day. We light candles and many of us join the church ensemble. Lately, we have been shopping big ticket items only online. We recently had a baby and almost all the nursery furniture we got were bought online. We found that things are cheaper online than at retail stores. Not only furniture but, electronics and even clothes as well.

Looking for the Best Shopping deals?

But not always you get things cheaper online. There are some exceptions. As a policy, we don’t buy food items or any perishable item online. We also don’t buy clothes online. We prefer to check them out in the fitting room before buying. so we do look for deals and discounts at the retailers as well.
