Ways to Earn While Shopping for Holiday Season

Christmas holidays are just around the corner and we all know what it means to us, and more importantly, to our wallets and purses. Lots of things to remember, arranging gifts, the office Christmas party, last minute dinner invitations and/or festive shenanigans.

Ways to Earn While Shopping for Holiday Season

It can be stressful thinking about all of the money you may have to spend on gifts for your loved ones. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with three easy tips to make your holiday shopping experience much more pleasant.

With all this in mind, some extra cash to spend would be useful. There are quite a few ways to make extra money.

Here are a few suggestions for you, to ease any festive financial stress.

Ways to Earn While Shopping for Holiday Season

1. Get paid for searching the web

Did you know that you can earn money by searching online? With Swagbucks and InboxDollars your googling habits become really handy. Here you get rewarded for simply searching on Google, Bing or Yahoo.

2. Money for cleaning out your closet

ThredUp is one of the most intriguing places on the internet for women at the moment. This website is perfect for those, whose closets bulge with excess inventory.

ThredUp lets you earn money by getting rid of the clothes you no longer wear.

It’s as simple as that – you send your obsolete clothing to ThredUp (postage paid by the company, so no worries) and they reward you with a price for your unwanted package.

If everything goes smoothly, you will get around 80% of your clothes’ value.

The money you earn can be spent on ThredUp if you want to restock your closet. For those savvy savers, you can put your earnings into your bank account.

Your choice, refresh your purse or refresh your closet!

3. Couch potatoes earn money

With more people living and owning property abroad, transferring money internationally is becoming increasingly common. Send money to your loved ones and surprise them with an
unexpected injection of money into their bank account. Did you know that you can earn with money transfer companies?

Each referred person that clicks on your link gets their first transfer for free, and you earn 1% of the amount they send during the first six months they are a TransferGo customer. There are no limits to the number of people you recommend and your earnings. Some users claim to earn hundreds of pounds per month.

4. Apps for cash

There are several moneymaking apps including Juno Wallet, WeReward, CheckPoints, and GigWalk that will either pay you for doing marketing tasks (e.g. scanning products at a
grocery store) or connect you with someone who wants a more extensive project accomplished.

This is a great way to turn easy tasks into cash or gift cards that can be very handy for Christmas shopping.

5. Deals, deals, deals…

For those who only want to spend money and save whilst doing so, you should check out the hottest UK deals website. Find offers, vouchers, and freebies and get advice on the value of
the deal. The temperature scale helps you evaluate the offer and you can express your view on it.

It’s an excellent tool for gift hunting from your couch or bed. Your decision…save and spend, spend and save, just save or just spend. Happy holidays!

6. Use Cash Back Shopping Websites

If you’re not using cashback websites to make your online purchases, you are leaving money on the table. It has been proven by research that people usually spend less on online purchases. In addition, these sites allow consumers to earn money on nearly everything they buy online.

Use websites like Walmart, eBay, Home Depot, Kohl’s, Macy’s and Nike. You can take advantage of cashback shopping.

7. Buy Discounted Gift Cards

If you find something you want to buy, check to see if you can score a discounted gift card to get instant savings.

There are lots of websites offering gift cards – such as Raise.com, Giftcard.com and Giftcardmall.com. By shopping at these stores through cashback websites, you can earn up to 6% money back.

8. Take Advantage of  Sales

To grab customers’ attention, stores always offer tons of deals during the holiday shopping season.

From free shipping to sitewide deals, you will be able to buy way more with the same budget. Carter’s, GAP and Target usually offer great discounts!

To make your life easier, cashback websites also aggregate the best coupons. Take a look at your favorite store’s page to search for the best discounts.

Remember only to use coupons found on the cashback website you are using to shop. Otherwise, it may void your cashback reward.

There’s no time like the present to start planning for an unforgettable holiday season. Shop smarter, be prepared and pave your way towards an amazing celebration.

You’d be amazing what people will pay for in order to save time (especially around the Christmas season). I have heard of people in the past who go round to other people’s houses and charge them for wrapping their presents. If this isn’t the easiest way to earn money ever, I don’t know what is!! 🙂

Good tips! This time of year is definitely rife with opportunities to earn some extra income. Doing a part-time holiday stint at a retailer is another good option as you can often earn overtime too.

I’ve sent my used clothing to ThredUp a few times and have had really good experiences so far. I didn’t get much back but it was so much easier than trying to sell it individually on ebay.
