Blogging is so funny; there are so many activities going on in the world of blogging, such as Carnivals, Round-ups, guest posting, blog swap and now a new one, Seven Links Project.

There are seven categories in this blog game and we have to nominate our best post that falls under the categories.

It’s tough job to do, if you are asked to pick your best child, will you be able to do that?

I was nominated by Retire By 40 and I have to take part in it to keep the spirit up in our blogging community. I will consider this as a round-up of my site.

Your Most Beautiful Post

Enjoy Life and Save Money by Taking staycation, I am sure most of you have missed it. Few very frugal staycation ideas have been mentioned and they all are beautiful family activities. I did decorate the post with three beautiful pictures. Follow the link and see how you can save vacation money when you decide to enjoy the surrounding.

Your Most Controversial Post

This one was not an easy pick, after a close fight between two posts, Do you need Netflix, I don’t wins. This post generated a lot of controversies; it received comments in favor of Netflix and against it. My conclusion was I don’t need Netflix and unless you are in to watching too many movies, you don’t need it either. Still, the points in favor of Netflix compelled me to start a follow-up post, very soon you’ll get it.

The Most Popular Post

This has to be Finance is simple, keep it simple, 50 simple money ideas. This was posted only a few days ago and within a short life span its giving competition to other most viewed posts in terms of visitors. By amount and nature of comments and number of round-ups it was included in, I nominate this as clear winner in this category. If you follow these ideas from an early stage of life, you will never be in financial trouble.

A Post Whose Success Surprised You

Actually I expect success for all of my posts but What Credit Sesame Is All About And Why Should You Opt Out is a surprise ‘top post by view’ in Google Analytics report. This post is getting bundle of visitors every day, as very kind Google decided to give it a first page slot when you search for credit sesame review. This post caught attention from folks at credit sesame too.

The Post You Are Most Proud Of

This was easy, Why I named this blog ‘One Cent At A Time‘, because probably I wrote the mission and vision statement about this blog in to this post. Although I don’t get many visits in to this old faithful but who ever visits spends maximum time reading it and bounce rate is an amazing 0%. If you want to know the secret behind OCAAT, you should follow the link.

Your Most Helpful Post

What To Do When You Don’t Have Health Insurance has to win it. This post talks about various alternatives to health insurance. I am not advicing that you shouldn’t have health insurance but, like 50M fellow citizen, if you do not have health insurance you still have places to seek help. I think this was the biggest contribution to people I have made through blogging so far.

A Post You Feel Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved

Every blogger has his bad days when he/she doesn’t get as many visitors, as many comments and as many attention as he would have on any other day. Shepherd And Sheep herder, Story About Your Money not only failed to catch audience attention but also got bumped in Tour de personal finance contest. Amazingly 6 people voted against it and throughout the day the post received only two visits. Blogging world is so cruel at times. In this post I did mention about a very basic aspect of finance, managing your money like a shepherd; it was about philosophy of money. Sadly Philosophy is not every ones favorite subject.

Now the last remaining part of this fun game; I will have to nominate 5 other blogs to encourage them in to writing their own ‘seven links’. I nominate

Frugal Students

Super Frugalette

Investorz Blog

Dollar Versity

And Broke Professionals

Did you read any of the above posts? Which one you did and what’s your opinion?

I kind of want to write my own seven links. But then again, I’m afraid of annoying my blog followers who are not interested in blogging, but only interested in investing. What advice would you give me on my problem?
