Thank you readers, we successfully completed one more year of blogging! This was my third year as a financial blogger who blogs part-time. This was an eventful year, not a success story all the way. Things from technical front was not easy this year.

My original host HostGator was acquired by another company and probably that was the reason behind frequent outages and slowness you experienced throughout the first of the year. During that time some hacking took place and malicious scripts were inserted, which did affect my search ranking with Google. I recovered from the low somehow. But I switched the host a couple of times, which took a lot of time and energy on my part.

This was also the year when I posted lesser posts compared to 2012, by an amount of 62 posts (240 vs. 178), almost one less post a week.

Dear readers, its time for another monthly blog update. It’s very motivating to see the visitor graph rising. OCAAT is slowly establishing readership base. One regret I have for not being able to hold on to the media attention I received in the beginning of the month. And, as a result I ended up with lesser than anticipated number. Still, it’s way above the October number.

Also in last week on November, visitor numbers were lower due to holidays. These days I see page views approaching 100 when I arrive at work. Hopefully by January I would cross over 100 by the time I reach at work. As always, I am going to paste the Google Analytics graphs in the blog update.

Here’s the November Summary.

It has been 1 month since I joined blog network Yakezie. With a big smile on face, let me tell you that it was the best blog decision I ever made. After starting with first post Why This Blog on 03/01/2011, I was getting no where with this blog, for next three months, you can read about my frustrated feeling in these two posts, ‘Why I am failing as blogger‘ and ‘Why people should not follow my blog‘.

Just like me, you might also find that writing a finance blog will help keep you motivated when you are trying to save money. Keeping a record and sharing your success through a blog, will positively encourage you to keep going. There are various small things you can do to start saving some dollars, such as checking comparison sites like Love Money for the best deals available, searching for online restaurant vouchers, or even going to the supermarket in the evening because many items are reduced at this time. The key is to find the balance between spending and saving.

Last month was fabulous, when slowly traffic started coming in, I got inspired and wrote down an article which best describes why I am writing this blog.
