Readers, first, apologies for going almost aloof for last few weeks. This was on the card but, not up to that extent. Every year around this time activities at work peaks. Lot of projects go in to production roll-out. If you work in IT or know someone who does, most likely you have experienced this phenomenon.

My Life

At work, last week, I was less busy, I called in sick this Friday as I was exhausted physically and mentally. By mid-November we will go in to year-end-freeze and life is expected to become normal. The internal job switch I was trying to make did materialize but they want me to move to a different city, which we are not comfortable with. I am still trying to negotiate and also applying for other internal positions.

It feels so nice to finally get back my thoughts on the blog. The articles you read here for last couple of weeks, were all written a month in advance, and I was not writing fresh one, wasn’t even checking the contents after publication, wasn’t reading the comments neither was checking the blog stats. I stopped reading other blogs I was regular with. I didn’t even visit the vibrant and happening Yakezie bloggers’ forum, which I was once addicted to. Now I am slowly getting back to my normal life.

SMB is enjoying with her new-born niece in India and keep sending me the sweet pics of the little princess. We were trying for a baby since long. Very hopeful to be successful next year. Often in our family and friend circle we are questioned for it. Being married for 8 years and not having a child is a social taboo in the part of the world we were born in to.

Blog Update

This site was supposed to have been redesigned by now. What happened was due to my lack of time and unmatched work hours progress from the designers I hired was delayed. The last blow came in when OCAAT got infected with malware. When it was confirmed that the source was my beloved designer firm, I immediately scrapped the deal.

Once it was infected, Google blocked OCAAT with red malware warning page and I lost almost an entire day of traffic. Even regular readers started sending mails to me as Chrome and Firefox also started blocking the site content, and prevented access to the pages.

I am very thankful to my lovely friend Andrea, who blogs at So Over This (if you don’t follow her blog, you are missing some pure fun in life), she came in to my rescue and within next two hours OCAAT was malware free. Now the remaining design work would be completed by Andrea herself as her company Nuts and Bolts Media has the new contract. I can’t praise Andrea enough for fixing things so quickly and doing it extremely thoroughly. She didn’t charge anything, this is the power of friendship. Thank you Andrea!

It was also a sweet surprise to see the latest blog stats. I’ll once again proudly publish October blog stats, which is about to overshadow all other months, without a single big referral, guest post and any kind of article promotion. It feels great.

A new design, which I am very proud to present to you pretty soon, will make the things much better. I can’t wait!

No blog roundup or carnival links in this edition as I didn’t get time to submit articles to carnival, neither did I read a blog post from other bloggers. Expect to reverse the trend now in next few weeks.

Have a nice weekend ahead, take care of your loved ones and be with them. Don’t forget to comment your opinion and if you want to learn more, feel free to email me with your questions.

Yes I feel the same way. But, at times like this I feel that spending time with the blog would help me straighten my thoughts and might give me some peace I need so badly. Thanks for your concern.
