Weekend Chit-Chat – The Love Edition

Thanks giving is round the corner, this is the time we are reminded of the things, the people and the facts which we should be thankful about. I am thankful to many things and the biggest of all, love. Everything and everyone that I love in this world.

Love

Let me dedicate this article to love. First, a few love quotes from greater people who may accurately describe what love is.

“It isn’t possible to love and part. You will wish that it was. You can transmute love, ignore it, muddle it, but you can never pull it out of you. I know by experience that the poets are right: love is eternal.” – EM Foster.

“When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth.” –  J.C Scott

“And I’m suppose to sit by while you date boys and fall in love with someone else, get married…?” His voice tightened. “And meanwhile, I’ll die a little bit more every day, watching.” – C Clare

“Never close your lips to those whom you have already opened your heart.” ― Charles Dickens

“Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your heart or burn down your house, you can never tell.” ― Joan Crawford

“And then he gives me a smile that just seems so genuinely sweet with just the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth rushes through me.” ― Suzanne Collins

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” ― Dr. Seuss

Now, my best one

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life…You give them a piece of you. They didn’t ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like ‘maybe we should be just friends’ turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.” ― Neil Gaiman

Last but not the least

When heart and brain collide, suffers soul – Your’s truly

I am thankful to the things and persons who loved me or loves me. Are you also not thankful to the people who love you and bring joy to your life?

I urge you to surround your world with love, be thankful to the persons who bring joy to your soul. No matter what, love would bring pain, and, you have to cope with the pain. Sometimes you can’t reach the ultimate destination of love but, at least make the loved ones feel good and wish them happiness. Do everything you could to make his/her life better.

With this I am signing off, this was a weekend chit-chat after a long time, and, as always I told you the truth about my life and shared my learning. It would be good if you also share your opinion about love. I am sorry this was not personal finance article but, my weekend chit-chat are not meant for personal finance either.

Readers, I am thankful for your love towards my blog. Happy thanks giving! Love your loved ones even if they caused pain at some point.

I did not know there were other finance geeks that like Neil Gaiman! You just became my favorite finance blogger! I came up in the industry as a teenager and have been in it for 17years. I have always been the “baby” of my coworkers…so nobody ever got my love for Neil or rock music!

Yes, I am a fan of Neil. He speaks the heart out and every word is so true! I think I also got someone who’s equally Neil’s fan for the first time, thanks for your comment.

    Hi SB,

It’s great to be at your blog.

I loved the quotes. I have to agree, you really can tell a person’s affection towards us by the way they say our name.
