Weekly Yakezie Challenger Round Up And Blog Update

Readers welcome to the 9th Yakezie challenger round up and monthly blog update. Things change really quick in the blogging world. This roundup was once a regular weekday feature.  And my weekends used to be no-new-post days. Now, I am struggling to get a day out, last week I hosted yakezie carnival and didn’t have any free slot to push in this round up and this happen twice in last one month that I didn’t publish challenger roundup. Moreover, I have to now publish blog update and round up in a single post.

I get excited to read emails asking me when’s my round up going out. I love that!

I am thankful to all who search in Google to get to my round up (hey, there is a search option on my blog too), I regularly see incoming search traffic containing “one cent yakezie challenger roundup” or similar which is a great enthusiasm on your part and tells me some of you still have a high value for this round up. I love the fellow bloggers who comment or give me a link love back.

Let’s see how the blog progress looks like for the month of August.

August 31st also marked the 6 months anniversary of OCAAT, and that was a milestone of trust by big Google too. My search traffic really exploded during last week of August and continues till. Overall the traffic source is as below.

Compare to last months data, OCAAT experienced a more than 200% increase in blog traffic, and, now since Google lifted my incubation period, I expect to maintain the growth due to increased search traffic. If I extrapolate first three day’s data for September, it gives me more than 50% growth in September compared to August.

What is now happening on Google is, many searches starting with “1 cent” or “one cent” are putting me in the first page. I receive all sort of weird search terms on my GA, such as “1 cent store”, “1 cent investment”, ” 1 cent credit” or “1 cent saving”. Pretty cool, even if 1% stick to me, I will make a killing in 2 years.

On referring sites, Yakezie still holds the honor of giving me the maximum referral traffic, followed by Get Rich Slowly, to my satisfaction the social media started generating my traffic in a big way, quite expectantly Twitter and Facebook came in as 3rd and 4th biggest traffic generator to OCAAT, followed by Frugal Dad at 5th place.  In top 10 referral sites, Retire By 40 and Financially consumed represented yakezie community.

August also saw this blog’s biggest success when it was nominated for Plutus award in ‘Best new financial blog of the year’ category, I hope dedicated readers will vote for OCAAT. Fellow Yakezie members are torn between two of us from Yakezie who have been nominated.
