4 Ways to Invest your Year End Bonus Luxuriously

I realized that most of my regular readers are not struggling to meet life’s needs financially. Rather, they are quite fortunate with regards to financial health. They invest regularly and they have very stable jobs. So why not talk about something that fits the need of a financially-well-to-do?

4 Ways to Invest your Year End Bonus Luxuriously

If you are a salaried employee, like me, you must receive some end of the year bonus. Today’s topic is to invest that bonus in something luxury, like a watch, an exotic vacation experience (which is not a financial investment though), a rare picture from some famous artist, etc.

Find out 3 ways to invest your yearend bonus luxuriously

There is something special about an End Of Financial Year bonus. Although you may have initially agreed to a certain bonus figure and you’re expecting its imminent arrival, it’s still a welcome gift for all your hard work over the past 12 months.

But before you go crazy on a new car or a holiday, consider investing in something that you can enjoy both now and later.

That’s right: invest in something special that both gives you immediate joy and a long-term return. Win-win.

A Luxury Handbag

There are certain, timeless items of fashion known as ‘investment pieces’, and a Chanel handbag has proven to be one in the most literal of terms.

For some investors, luxury handbags are like vintage cars. Old famous designs hold enormous value in today’s market. If this trend continues, investing in handbags can be considered in your portfolio. People have started investing in handbags, in anticipation of a future price increase.

For the past few years, the price increases for Channel handbags are astonishing. The classic Chanel 2.55 leather flap bag has only ever increased in value since it’s the introduction in 1955.

Whether you’re buying it for yourself or a loved one, a Chanel handbag may just be one of the best investments you can make. And if nothing else, you’ll score some points for style.

Invest in a Rolex

As one of the most iconic watches in the world, a Rolex is an investment that keeps giving.

This year, Rolex introduced four new models to the timeless GMT-Master II range, each powered by a brand new in-house movement.

When investing in physical goods that may become heirloom pieces, it’s a good idea to select a classic style that’s also a limited edition.

My pick would be the long-awaited and highly sought after steel with blue and red Cerachrom bezel. The 2018 model is the first of its kind, with the sporty look of 1982 original and the updated mechanical technology of today.

Purchase a Painting

Before you scoff and exit the blog, hear me out. You may not know this, but Picasso didn’t just paint; he was also an avid sculptor and designed 633 different ceramics.

The range includes plates, vases, pitchers, and bowls – each designed with his unique and telling style.

And as one of the highest-grossing artists at auction with such a large range to choose from, it’s easier to find an affordable ceramic investment that you’ll love.

Just make sure to keep it safely out of reach of small hands, no matter how much they want to play with it.

Not just Picasso, if you check online for auctions that are happening around the world, you’ll be amazed to know about rarest of rare artwork being sold cheap.

At least you’ll have an investment that all visitors would see, and it’ll not just remain in your bank locker or your brokerage account.

Luxury Vacation

Take that dream vacation

This is not a financial investment, this is an investment towards a better relationship with your loved ones and little ones who will remember the trip for years to come. This is the trip the whole family looks forward to for months, if not years.

The vacation that becomes your child’s school folklore. invest in yourself, take some time out from your busy schedule. God knows how many hours you put up every day for your job. This is the time for you and your family.

Get the bonus, pack your bags and get out!

Enjoy everything the destination has on offer, its places, food, people, and attractions. The one vacation your family always wanted to take can be made a reality if you use your bonus for this trip.

Money can’t buy happiness

You’ve heard the saying. But it can buy things, and choosing the right investment that brings both joy and the potential for appreciation is almost the same thing.

Your End Of Financial Year bonus is the perfect time to experiment with a purchase that rewards you now and in the future.

Years ago we went to a clock sale in the home of a private collector. We bought a striking, mantle clock made by a well known clock maker whose name escapes me. We enjoyed it for years, and now my granddaughter has it. I think it’s probably pretty valuable now.

You can get one appraisal done, even if she doesn’t want to sell it. Knowing the value is not bad and who knows when she needs money for something or the other…

Investing in the stock market has historically paid off, there are far too many people who don’t trust the financial markets and choose to sit on the sidelines altogether.
