A qualification in business administration can open up a whole range of opportunities for you. Many people who hold a business qualification decide to start up their own business or go into finance, marketing or business management. If you feel that you want to look for a role in a specific area then you can choose a course that offers a specialization in that area.

Career Growth

If you feel that you have a future in business, but you are not sure exactly what area is right for you, you can take a look at the courses on offer from universities, to help you with your decision.

One of the best things about studying business at a college or online is that there are so many careers you can choose once you have gained your qualification. We are going to take a look at some of the job opportunities you may want to pursue.

Do remember some evergreen tips I provided long back, there are certain traits that, if you cultivate, can propel you to the top of your career chart.

We are going to take a look at some of the job opportunities you may want to pursue.

Marketing specialist

If you decide to specialize in marketing as part of your business administration course then a career as a marketing specialist may be a good choice for you. This role involves analyzing market trends and researching competitors so that you can advise a business on what will sell and how to formulate its marketing campaigns.

Good marketing specialists are much sought after as every business wants to maximize its sales potential. If you embark on a career as a marketing specialist you can expect to earn between AUS$32,000 and AUS$66,000 on average.

Retail management

A retail management role is one which brings great responsibility. A retail manager is responsible for all of the day-to-day running of a store and all of the people working in the store report to them, whether directly or indirectly. If you are looking for a career in retail management then you need to have good people skills as well as a head for business.

You also need to be able to strategize effectively and to cope well under pressure. If you manage to secure a job in retail management you can expect to earn a salary of around AUS$39,000 to AUS$65,000.

Investment manager

If you have a talent for business, as well as a good head for figures, you may want to specialize in the financial aspect of business when you choose your course of study. There are many careers available in the financial sector, one of which is the role of the investment manager.

If you work as an investment manager then you manage portfolios and investments on behalf of your clients. This involves buying and selling securities, measuring performance and producing client reports. Salaries for this role vary greatly and you can expect to earn anywhere from AUS$55,000 to AUS$200,000.

These are just a few of the careers you may want to follow after you have completed your business administration study. If you are looking to embark on a business administration course it’s a good idea to have a career in mind so that you can choose to specialize as appropriate.

Individuals who plan to pursue a career in finance may be interested to learn which career opportunities are available there. However, it is challenging to make the right career choice from various functional areas of finance. A brilliant suggestion for the business administration professional, moreover I feel that the different skill sets may be required following the nature of a specific role. It’s important to take your preferences and abilities into account when deciding for a specific role. Thanks
